How To Use:

Sharp edge tester model SET-50 is used with rubber cap TC-3. This kit includes 42 rubber caps with three rolls of spare assembly tape attached to slide on the tool being tested.
This tape cap meets the U.L. requirements for three-reel tape:
1. One layer of 3M imported foam material is 1/16” thick
2. One layer of 3M imported foam material is 1/32” thick
3. The surface layer is PTFE tape
The most efficient use of tape caps is to easily and quickly test multiple manufacturing runs without having to install three different layers of tape on the tool prior to testing. Each test requires a tape cap that can be removed, identified and replaced in seconds, allowing more tests to be performed in a fraction of the time.
There is a 1/16” indicator on the center of the adhesive cap attached to the tape to help the examiner confirm the center point. Symbol operation:

Product Safety Testing Has Never Been Easier
1. Put the test head of the instrument on the test head of the tester, and the part of the pressure head of the sharp edge tester with the black as the center line and the red plastic cap surface
slide.
2. During the test, the tape is placed on the edge of the object to be inspected. Holding the machine by hand, press down on the tape head cover until the test arm and the case form a straight line.
3. Move the pressure head 2 inches along the edge and return to the starting point. The tool is then withdrawn by the edge. The distance between the brim and the head of the hat is 4 inches.
